from 7 reviewsI love butter. Always have. I remember the butter from the house cow when I was a child.
As an adult I've tried many butters in my search for the butter I had as a child: supermarkets, speciality butters, restaurants etc.
And then I found Lard Ass butter a while back.
I only have Lard Ass butter now. I buy it by the kilo, and freeze it by 250gm.
It is pricier than the supermarket butters but not by that much these days, and it is so worth it. It tastes so good!
From my experience I have found it quite a 'pure' (proper) butter eg if you leave it on the bench in warm weather it doesn't 'melt' or seperate. It just softens.
Would highly recommend.
Is also delicious when mixed with Miso, or when cooking, and exceptional for toast with butter and Vegemite or Honey.
Thank you.
I've been buying butter from Lardass for 3 years now. It's the only butter I buy. I'm a butter aficionado.
I got the unsalted for use in cooking and baking.
I find it gives a depth of taste and flavour that I just can't find in other butters. It's superb.
I would highly recommend this product. It's butter how it used to be.
Taste it, test it, you will not be disappointed.
This butter tastes like butter should. Buttery and creamy with no crap in it. I'm sold and never going back to supermarket butter.
One of the most delicious things I've ever tasted!!
And it was delivered promptly.
Thank you.
I stumbled across Lard Ass at the Castlemaine Market and thought I would give it a go, then went for a trip on the Q-Train and Lard Ass was presented as part of the entree, with different flavours. It's the only butter I've been buying since the market and my tastebuds haven't stopped thanking me since!
